Introduction of NYOKUM
The term “NYOKUM” is a derivative of 2(Two) words – “NYOK” means entire land or the whole area of earth and “KUM”- means putting things or coming together or in short collectiveness. Therefore NYOKUM is a gathering together of all people from all corners of the earth to a particular place for a celebration.

NYISHI Indigenous Identity Society
NYOKUM Festival 2021
NIIS organized a christian referendum Nyokum at Nyorch Village in Papum Pare District of Arunachal Pradesh from 23rd February to 26th February 2021 wherein highest ever people’s participation were experienced in these 3- days event. The of the celebration was tittled as NYOKUM SOONAM ‘ in nyishi.
NYOKUM Festival 2022
NIIS jointly organized a mega Nyokum with Bath – Jollang Pancayat at Jollang Village in Papum Pare District of Arunachal Pradesh from 23rd February to 26th February 2022 wherein people from every walk of life participated.
Generalbody Meeting of NIIS
First general body meeting of NIIS was held on 30th January 2022 at Hornbill Guest house Nirjuli under the Chairmanship of shri James Techi Tara, President NIIS wherein Bye-laws of the NIIS was released
Executive Committee Meeting of NIIS
Several rounds of Central Executive Committee Members meeting were conducted wherein various vital resolutions were adopted including appointments of Board of advisors
